the private gig we played on the 14th July 2007.
By way of
further explanation we were booked by a Preparatory School
in East Devon to play as a leaving
present for their outgoing headmaster, Mr Simon Bage, who together with his wife Fliss who also works
at the school are retiring to the Pyrenees to run a
bed and breakfast establishment.
Mr Bage has
been a fan of the band since 1971 and it was clear
for all to see that the school had indeed got him
the best leaving present ever, it was a night he'll
never forget, especially the bit where he joined the
rest of the band onstage for a stunning, word
perfect version of Sonic Attack.
We wish you
well in your retirement Mr Bage and hope you'll
still be seeing Hawkwind even if it means coming
back from France!
