These shots were all scanned from the booklets that accompanied the 3 CD "Anthology" set that was released by Castle Communications back in 1991. When we first started to get the Museum off the ground we got in touch with Hawkfan "head honcho" Brian Tawn to see if he had anything that he could donate to the site. In his reply he mentioned that most of his photographs, i.e - his personal collection had been "borrowed" by said label ( Castle ) only to be never returned, or to but it another way they'd been "half inched".

In lieu of that and the fact that Brian gave us permission to use anything we liked from back issues of Hawkfan we are posting the pictures from the Anthology set here and if Castle don't like it then TOUGH!!!!!

Thanks must also go to my now former colleague Tony Fordham for providing the pictures, nice one Tone, enjoyed working with you and good luck for the future whatever that brings and I think I can say in all honesty that your replacement is most unlikely to have such a good taste in music!

Look who's paid his old mates a visit, none other than entrepreneur extrordinaire Dave Anderson. On the left we see him with the captain who for all intents and purpose appears to be assisting the other Dave in his fledgling career as a ventriloquis, what's that "gottle a geer". Meanwhile to the right, the reason Huw looks so smug is that he's just told the former bassist that he's signed to Flicknife and not Demi Monde,

"Right then Harv, if you can just put your moniker there me old mate!"
The hawkwind practical joke squad of Dave, Alan and rich strike again. Un beknown to Mr Bainbridge the paper he is about to sign has been folded in half and on the other side say "I love Simon and I want to give him lots if kisses!"

Can't see what Harvey and Clive Deamer are doing with   there hands, but whatever it is they seem to be enjoying it!
Thanks to the various folks who e-mailed me and confirming Mr Deamer's identity

Yes it is hawkwind related, that's Simon King on the skins but beyond that we can offer little explanation to this picture. I'd have a guess as that it was taken at the band's headline performance at Reading in 1976 or 77, what however it most definitely is NOT, is the Hawkwind wives and girlfriends yearly night out!
