Thanks must once again go to Nigel Potter for coming up with these images from old editions of Kerrang and Classic Rock magazine, I think some of these may have appeared elsewhere on the net but they're firsts for the museum!

Whilst on the subject of Classic Rock magazine, don't forget it's still not too late to cast your vote in their "Best Live Album Of All Time Poll", for more details

I may be wrong (I usually am!) but I'd say at a guess that this is Lemmy making a guest appearance with the band after he had left as he's not playing his customary Rickenbacker bass

It's at times like this that I'm sure visitors to the site think "why does this bloke run a hawkwind web site" but sorry I need help here, who's the bearded bloke on the right?

Stacia in the foreground as Lemmy chugs away on said Rickenbacker, this preceded a major feature on the band in Classic Rock magazine

Brock and Lemmy once more, this time in rehearsal (I think) mind you on the subject of Mr Kilmisters instrument (no his bass, not that one!) this also looks like a non Rickenbacker variety

More recent shots these, from the mid 90's and accompanied the piece "Up In Smoke" that recently appeared on the site. This is how I like to see Dave, head down and chugging out those chords!

Unfortunately for me, and you, Kerrang had a very "thrown together" feel when this article appeared and hence the pictures were strewn across the page at weird and wonderful angles so these are the best I could do

A cropped Richard Chadwick

And if you're to believe the Kerrang article, a flu ridden Mr Brock

A bit blurred this one but basically it's Lemmy in the background with Kris and another bloke in front twirling umbrella frames with fire coming from them! just another typical day in the wonderful world of Hawkwind

A couple of interesting ones here supplied to the museum by a new contributor to the museum by the name of Alan Last, however the story dosen't end there as they are from the personal collection of former Hawks bassist Adrian Shaw. On the left we see the band in full flight from Reading in 1977 whilst to the right it's a doctored still from the bands appearence on the Mark Bolan TV show from the same year
