I'm sure most visitors to the museum will have noticed that the ad that I was carrying concerning the upcoming book about Hawkwind that's being written by Ian Abrahams has recently been removed from the History and Updates page. The main reason for this is that basically the book is now complete and the draft manuscript has been delivered to the publishers ready for publication!
The title for the book has been confirmed as HAWKWIND - SONIC ASSASSINS and is scheduled for release through SAF Publishing on the 25 June 2004. They seem to be the ideal partners in such a project as they specialise in books about both mainstream and more obscure Rock acts, recent and upcoming releases include publications about Morrissey, Mountain and Devo.

So what's to look forward too between the covers, well in Ian's own words it's - 115,000 words of biography, anecdote, critique, song inspirations etc. There's been over 40 new interviews conducted with the current band, past members, "friends & relations", and other associates. We also have a great selection of photographs, many of which have been rarely - if ever - published before, and we have a cover image licensed from Peter Pracownik.
