There's that old saying "it never rains but it pours" and that's exactly how it feels here at the museum. First up we agree to host an advert for the upcoming hawkfest (shameless plug) when hot on the heels of that comes another request, this time from a member of the band asking for our assistance in getting a new venture off the ground. Wouldn't mind, not only is it not Hawkwind related it's not even of a musical nature. But hey, here at the museum we're a charitable bunch (if you can call 2 a bunch!), so for better or worse we bring you the following advertisement -

RICHARD CHADWICK'S

NEWS JUST IN - IMPORTANT UPDATE!

"Apparently Richard Chadwick's Iron Dreams did a roaring trade on the recent Spring Tour, particularly in the North. Hordes of shabbily-dressed Mancs thrust their wrinkled laundry upon the diminutive sticksman when Hawkwind played at the Ritz on 25/04/2004. With the queues out the door, Richard had to set up his equipment on the stage, and only just finished minutes before the doors opened for the gig. With no time to clear his ironing paraphernalia away, it was left on stage while the band played. In this photo, Alan Davey has to angle himself away from the still-hot iron by his left elbow, which Mr.Chadwick had left plugged in on top of the Korg synthesizer which had been used as an extempore ironing board."

Thanks to Mick Daniels, Rob Dreamworker and Steve Starfarer who all in some way had input into this exclusive.

Note

Hopefully you will have sussed this is yet another of the museum's feeble attempt at humour. Just for the record we are glad to help the band by promoting the hawkfest, Richard neither runs an ironing business or drives a vehicle such as the one above, at least to the best of our knowledge. Saying that looking at the man's obvious ability with the iron in the picture , who knows maybe when he decides to hang up his sticks perhaps that's what he'll go into!
