BRIDGET IN HER HAWKWIND DAYS, FROM HAWKFAN

IT WAS BY CHANCE THE OTHER NIGHT THAT CO-CURATOR SIMON WAS HAVING A LOOK THROUGH OUR GUESTBOOK THE OTHER NIGHT WHEN HE NOTICED AN ENTRY THAT CAME A SOMETHING OF A SURPRISE, AND READ AS FOLLOWS -

Hello.I thought someone might want to know what I've been up to for the last decade or so.....
After leaving Hawks.... I formed a duo with 2000 D.S. guitarist Danny we were called 'Daze'and played local gigs in the west, then I joined Techno Pagan with Clive at the controls ( Alan's trusty roadie from the late 80's) as a choreographer costume designer and dancer. I then moved into UV decor with Temple Decor and sometimes did Hawk's London gigs. Overwork meant a forced retirement and at the grand young age of 40 I became a mum...Hannah is 9 months old and has me wrapped round her little finger....me and her dad are getting married at the end of the month and I jolly well expect to live happy ever after. I'm now going to browse your museum...byeeee

THIS WAS SIGNED BY NON OTHER THAN HAWKWIND'S ONLY FEMALE SINGER (TO DATE!) BRIDGET WISHART. AT THE END OF THE DAY, BEING NOTHING MORE THE, SOME MIGHT SAY, OVERLY KEEN FAN'S WHO SPEND FAR TOO MUCH OF THEIR TIME BUILDING THIS SITE, WE ARE ALWAYS A BIT CHUFFED WHEN ANYONE FROM THE BAND, PAST OR PRESENT GETS IN TOUCH, AND THIS CASE WAS NO EXCEPTION!

SIMON DULY REPLIED TO SAY THANKS FOR DROPPING IN AND LETTING US KNOW WHAT SHE HAD BEEN UP TO IN THE INTERVENING YEARS, TO WHICH WE HAD THE FURTHER COMMUNICATION -

Hiya Dave and Simon,

Thanx for getting in touch,

I had a  look for some pix for you...I dunno where my photos are but I did come across a couple of old music mags and scanned a couple of images for you.

The Brixton gig was my first gig as band member.....all incredibly exciting.......very different to gigs I did with the Demented Stoats and the Hippy Slags.

Mildenhall was near the end of my time with the Hawks.

Will write again when I've more time. Thanx for your good wishes.

All the best.

Bridget

P.S.I really like the museum it's easy to get around and the data is clear , concise and interesting.

P.P.S. I've added a couple of pix ...the kind of thing I got up to when I had spare time (!) .and a fav. photo of the slags. Left to right...me, Angie, Claire and Sarah

AS YOU CAN SEE, WE LIKE TO GIVE YOU THE VISITOR THE WHOLE STORY, SO THAT'S WHY WE LEFT THE MESSAGE INTACT AND NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH BRIDGET'S KIND WORDS REGARDING THE MUSEUM AND BELOW ARE THE PICTURES THAT SHE ALSO GENEROUSLY DONATED!

BRIDGET'S SPARE TIME ACTIVITIES, WHICH HAVING A NINE MONTH OLD DAUGHTER TO LOOK AFTER, PROBABLY DOESN'T AMOUNT TO MUCH TIME AT ALL

I'M SURE VISITORS TO THE MUSEUM WILL JOIN US IN WISHING BRIDGET, HER HUSBAND TO BE AND THEIR DAUGHTER HANNAH EVERY HAPPINESS IN THE FUTURE, THANKS FOR VISITING AND COME BACK WHENEVER YOU LIKE!
